Quincy Promes is serving a six-year prison sentence in the United Arab Emirates. The former Holland international was sentenced for his involvement in the smuggling of 1,363 kg of cocaine worth an estimated £65 million.

The 32-year-old was detained in Dubai by border control at the request of Dutch authorities last month and was not allowed to fly back on other days. Promes shares the cell with other Dutch people who are also awaiting extradition. Prisoners are also forced to shave their heads completely and go bald, otherwise they are denied television or telephone privileges.
