Primoz Roglic, leader of the general classification, fell 40 kilometers from the finish. Hit on the right side, including some visible burns, Roglic seemed dazed but finally got back on his bike after a minute of floating.
The final stage, won in a sprint by the Belgian Quinten Hermans, was marked by another fall notably involving the Spaniard Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates), fourth overall. In total, nearly twenty runners were at least stopped in this big collision which occurred one kilometer from the finishes.
