UEFA President Ceferin will not run again in 2027. The Slovenian announced this decision after the UEFA Congress in Paris.

The general assembly had previously changed the statutes to clear the way for the 56-year-old to run again despite the term limits. “I’m tired of Covid, tired of two wars, of nonsense projects like the so-called Super League,” said Cefer in a statement after the congress. The German Football Association supported the change in the statutes.
