Max Verstappen won the Spanish Grand Prix in Montmeló. Lewis Hamilton finished second and George Russell third.
Carlos Sainz finished fifth, 45 seconds behind the winner. Fernando Alonso finished seventh, just behind Lance Stroll, his teammate. The structure of Silverstone loses the second place in the statistics reserved for the constructors, which now happens to occupy Mercedes. The title is more than headed towards the home of the Red Bull driver, if the irruption of Mercedes in the fight for the top of the table is confirmed.
