Victory and third place are not enough: German ski jumping star continues to be spurned. Despite strong performances, former ski jumping world champion Markus Eisenbichler still doesn't get a place in national coach Stefan Horngacher's World Cup squad.
The 32-year-old won six gold medals at world championships and secured bronze in the team competition at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing. He made his World Cup debut in 2011, but it wasn't until the 2016/17 season that he made his breakthrough.
