A battery thrown from the International Space Station crashed into a home in Naples, Florida. The discarded discharged battery penetrated through both ceilings of the house.
The fall happened on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2:34 p.m. NASA collected the item in cooperation with the owner, and will analyze the object at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida as soon as possible to determine its origin. "If it is a man-made space object that was launched into space by another country, and caused damage on Earth - that country will have absolute responsibility towards the owner," expert says.
