Matan Yair's new film presents a teenage boy from a crumbling family in a humane and complex way, without taking himself too seriously. "A Room of One's Own" is a work of character research, a mystery in human form that is presented to us so that we try to understand and decipher it over the course of about 80 minutes.

The beauty is that almost every humorous moment comes from pain or hardship, and it starts right from the opening scene where the hero delivers a spontaneous speech about the death of parents.
