"Blues for the Great Holiday" is a wonderful cult film. The decision to reinvent it is unfortunate - voila! culture.
It could have been interesting if they hadn't thrown away the most fascinating soundtrack in the history of Israeli cinema. It is clear that it was made out of love for the original. For those who have never seen the movie - stop reading and go and watch it. For the sake of the record, we will say that the plot tells about a group of seminists in the midst of war.
