A 55-year-old American woman was attacked by a bear in front of her home. Lee Ann Galante was letting her dog out outside her home in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
She then saw “huge” bear cubs in a nearby tree. The bear and her cubs approached the victim and began attacking her dog. “I wasn’t going to let her eat my dog,” she insisted. Injured in the arm, face, neck and head, the victim had to be transported to the hospital.
