The new Alfa Romeo SUV celebrated its world premiere under the name "Milano" - the Italian name for the city of Milan. The name practically suggests that it is a car produced in Italy, but the SUV rolls off the assembly line in Poland.

The political argument was based on a law that makes it illegal to use Italian brand names for products that are not manufactured in Italy. They have now decided on the name Junior because it is also "closely linked to the history of our brand's" history of being called 'Milano' and 'Parma ham' in the Italian language. They are convinced that they have met all requirements with the name and are happy with the new model name. The car manufacturer was once founded in Milan and is still based in the city. The new model will go on sale in the summer of 2015. It will be sold as a plug-in hybrid or as a purely electrically powered hybrid. It is not yet known whether it will be available in Germany.
