Europol has mapped the 821 “most dangerous” criminal networks on the continent. The majority of these gangs focus on drug trafficking, with operations in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain as well as the Netherlands.
But these networks extend their tentacles to sectors such as real estate, construction, freight transport or nightclubs. Many of the criminal networks listed have been in existence for years, with a third having been operational for more than a decade and some continuing to be orchestrated from prisons.
