A 25-year-old man was shot dead in the night from Monday to Tuesday near a drug sales point in a district south of Avignon. The victim was walking in the street when he was targeted, around 11:30 p.m., by one or more shooters in a car in the Croix des Oises district.
A car possibly matching that of the perpetrator(s) of the shooting was found burned in a nearby town, a police source said. The events occurred near a deal point, with investigators favoring the possibility of narcocide, or a homicide linked to drug trafficking.
