A magistrate from Agen was referred for indictment on eleven charges, including influence peddling and embezzlement of public funds. The judge, previously stationed in Ajaccio, was placed in police custody this Wednesday.
The case is all the more delicate as Hélène Gerhards has links with the current Minister of Justice Éric Dupond-Moretti. The magistrate had already had to face the search of several of her properties in Corsica on December 8, 2023. Her office in Agen had also been searched.
