A magistrate from Agen in police custody in an investigation linked to Corsican banditry. This is Hélène Gerhards, magistrate at the Agen Court of Appeal, sources close to the case confirmed to AFP.
The magistrate had already had to face the search of several of her properties in Corsica on December 8. She received death threats at her home in February 2016, which led the Ajaccio public prosecutor's office to place her under police protection. She was then appointed deputy prosecutor in Toulouse in August 2016.
