The light rail will connect the northern periphery to Haifa, but is drawing criticism because of the construction of the stations outside the settlements. About 30 trains will operate on the line with a maximum frequency of every 4 minutes, and it is expected to travel about 100,000 people a day, at a travel speed of up to 100 km/h in the intercity sections.
