Stellantis has completed the open market purchase of 8.3 million euros of shares in Archer Aviation. Archer Aviation will market the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in 2025.
Construction of the Archer, Georgia manufacturing facility will be completed by the end of the year. The plant will be used to produce up to 650 aircraft per year. Stellantis announced its intention to exclusively produce Archer's Midnight aircraft, capable of carrying four passengers and a pilot. It is considered an optimal solution for back-to-back trips of approximately 20-50 miles.
