A police officer committed suicide on Tuesday April 3 with his service weapon at the Vichy police station in Allier. According to the police, the 48-year-old civil servant ended his life at his workplace.
He was assigned to the narcotics branch of the urban security brigade. “Suicide is a scourge that strikes our police family too often” said a spokesperson for the DDPN (Departmental Directorate of the National Police) of Allier, confirming information from the regional daily La Montagne.
