Sailors stranded for more than a week on tiny uninhabited island in Pacific Ocean. Their niece reported their disappearance to the US Coast Guard on April 6.

They were spotted this Sunday April 7 by a plane flying over the area. The sailors confirmed that they were in good health, that they had access to food and water. The experienced sailors claimed to regularly sail in these Pacific waters and were able to be returned to their starting point. The three men, all in their forties and experienced, are inGood health. The story began when the marine rescue center in Guam received a call from a woman of the three sailors reporting that her three uncles, aged around forty, were not not returned from Pikelot Atoll. This tiny 13 ha island is located about 100 nautical miles northwest of Polowat Atoll, 3,000 km east of the Philippines. The men “expressed the wish to obtain help to return to Polowats, the paradise-looking islet from which they had left, more than 185 km away.
