The last total solar eclipse that could be observed from France dates back to August 11, 1999. From Toulouse to Paris via Fécamp, Lourdes and Villeneuve-sur-Fère (Aisne), the French had put on their cardboard glasses specially dedicated to observing this celestial phenomenon.

The next total eclipse observable from France will not take place until September 3, 2081. NASA, the American Space Agency, will however offer live broadcasts on its YouTube channel and on its Twitch account.
