Apple sent severe warnings to iPhone users in 92 different countries. The reason: fear of a targeted hack using sophisticated spyware.

The alerts were sent by email and through iMessage messages, and they also appear on the login page of the Apple account. Apple: "This type of attack is very different from normal cybercriminal activity and software Malware is common. They are very expensive (millions of dollars) and have a short "shelf life", which makes it very difficult to detect and thwart them" The company recommends immediately contacting professional assistance from security organizations that specialize in providing an emergency response to cases of this type. In its announcement, Apple also referred directly to NSO's Israeli spy software "Pegasus": "A well-known example is Pegasus, developed by the NSO group. Although these types of attacks are directed against a very small number of people (mostly journalists, activists, politicians and diplomats), they occur globally. Due to the high cost, sophistication and global nature of spyware attacks, they are considered the most advanced digital threats available today"
