Bidirectional charging of electric cars expected to gain momentum from 2028. Owners could benefit financially from this - but standards are still missing.

Around 1,000 additional fast charging points are to be built along the motorways by 2026. Bidirectionalcharging could open up a new business model for e-car drivers and network operators in the foreseeable future. According to the roadmap, there could be a ramp-up of interoperable and standardized solutions for V2H and V2G.
