Bluesky, one of X's main rivals, is now accessible without invitation. The opening to the public has caused a flood of entries and the social network was down for a couple of hours.

The network was born from an idea in 2019 by Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and then its executive president. According to its own figures, Bluesky today has 3.6 million accounts, not all of them active. The figure is very far from the 130 million Threads, the alternative to X created by Meta.
