23-year-old inmate killed in his cell at Luynes prison. An investigation was opened for “assassination”.
The victim was serving a two-year prison sentence and was due to be released in 15 days. The attacker, also 23 years old, is serving a seven-year sentence, also for drug trafficking and aggravated violence. He was eligible for release in 2028. The judicial authorities warned at the beginning of February of overcrowding at the Luynes detention center (Bouches-du-Rhône)
