A man was sentenced Friday to six years in prison and imprisoned by the Yvelines Assize Court of Appeal. He was found guilty of having raped Sarah, the assumed first name of an 11-year-old girl, in 2017.

The case resulted in a change in the consent threshold for minors. Having become emblematic, the affair had contributed to raising the threshold for sexual consent at 15 years of age. The man had served a year in detention after his first conviction in November 2022 to eight years of imprisonment by the Val-d'Oise criminal court.
