According to a survey, 91 percent expect “poor” or “very poor” incoming orders for 2024. The electromobility boom in Germany appears to be over for the time being.

In January 2024 the number of orders for electric cars from both private and commercial customers was on average around 50 percent lower than the previous year. More than a third of Germans currently cannot imagine switching to an electric car. Almost half about switching in five years, a third thought it would be between three and five years.
