Dark clouds over e-mobility: car dealers with a pessimistic forecast for 2024. More than a third of Germans currently cannot imagine switching to an electric car.
Almost 40 percent said they were at least theoretically to switch - but most of them not immediately. Almost half thought about switching in more than five years, but most thought it would be between three and five years. In January 2024 the number of orders for electric cars from both private and commercial customers was on average around 50 percent lower than the previous year.
