The municipality of Haut-Vernet has decided to lift this Thursday all orders prohibiting access to the municipality. Access to the hamlet had been prohibited for non-residents since the discovery at the end of March of the skull of the child, who disappeared last July.

Investigations to find the remains of little Émile's body were stopped on Wednesday, ten days after the discovery of his skull. Over the course of these ten days of intense investigations, more than 45 hectares were searched, revealing the clothes of the two and a half year old boy as well as teeth and a bone fragment belonging to him. “From now on, the judicial investigation will continue in the light of the results of the discoveries made and the expert assessments in progress, with the aim of determining the circumstances of Émile’s death”, specified the Aix-en prosecutor. -Provence Jean-Luc Blachon in a press release. The child disappeared in July in this village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provencé.
