Olivio Gomes, a 28-year-old motorist, was followed by a police officer and then hit by fatal shots. A judicial investigation for murder was opened on October 21, 2020 and the police officer indicted and placed under judicial supervision.
“The family of Mr. Olivio Gome has and continues to have confidence in justice,” Me Pape Ndiogou Mbaye, the family's lawyer, responded to AFP on Monday. During the investigation, the officer admitted being the perpetrator of the shooting but denied any intention of homicide.
