Electric cars as used cars: High loss of value becomes a problem for dealers. Compared to the previous year, electric cars fell by 17 percent with an average price of 36,703 euros.
The amount of used BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles) is still small. Almost 100,000 used electric vehicles changed hands in 2023 - less than two percent of ownership transfers. The Rheinische Post asked some car dealers in Düsseldorf about electric cars; many want to give up the electric car business.
