A 69-year-old man fatally stabbed his wife in the chest in Sanary-sur-Mer. The events took place around 4:30 p.m., avenue du Stade, at the couple’s home.
The suspect quickly confessed to the police. He was arrested and taken into police custody. 118 women were victims of femicide in 2022. This is four fewer than in 2021 but 16 more than in 2020, a year when a very clear drop in deaths was observed.
