The most popular was the U5, which found 31 buyers in Germany. For example, some VW Golf variants of the Golf sold over 50,000 vehicles. By far the fewest cars were sold by another newcomer: Aiways. The electric car manufacturer Aiways sold only 50 vehicles in Germany in 20 23. It emerged in 2011 from the insolvent British commercial vehicle manufacturer LDV Limited.
