The smartphone industry is not what it was either. After a rebound in 2021, due to the accumulated demand during the hardest time of the pandemic, in 2022 the market fell 12%.

Last year, 1,140 million units were sold, a drop of 4%. The decline eases, but does not stop, and manufacturers are racking their brains thinking of formulas to renew sales. Integrating artificial intelligence into devices or launching folding formats are some of the trends printed on smartphones at this MWC.
