Lakesha Woods Williams, 29, left her son, 8, and daughter, 6, home alone so she could go on a cruise to Puerto Rico. Neighbors saw her leaving her home in Houston, Texas, on April 4 with bags and luggage.

When she didn't return, they called the police, who found the children in disarray, with rubbish and food scraps scattered on the floor. Police also found a camera in the apartment that the mother used to watch and talk to the children during her trip. Her son also had a phone that he used to text his mother. She was arrested on her return from a cruise on Wednesday evening, and will have to wear an electronic bracelet. The children were in good health, and were released to their aunt by Child Protective Services. The mother should soon be released on bail this week, and is expected to be charged with two counts of child neglect and one count of child endangerment, according to local media. The charges are related to the April 4 incident.
