In protest of Yoav Kish's decision: Yaacov Achimair resigned from the position of Chairman of the Israel Prize for Communication Committee - Voila! Culture. The Press Council welcomed his decision and hopes that the cancellation will be canceled and the award will be handed out in its existing format for years on Independence Day, alongside the awards that were proposed to be added to mark civic heroism and mutual guarantee.
