The 79 farmers arrested on Wednesday by the police were able to leave on Thursday morning, indicated the Créteil prosecutor's office. The investigations “will continue” as part of the preliminary investigation opened on Wednesday.
The demonstrators had entered a “storage area” of the market on foot at the end of the afternoon and had “committed damage” there before being “removed from the premises”. Paris police chief Laurent Nuñez announced the arrest of a total of 91 people in connection with this incident.
