Mistaken for another patient, she undergoes an abortion against her will in Prague. Not speaking Czech, the woman would not have understood the explanations relating to the medical procedure, nor the declaration of consent.
In the Czech Republic, abortion is permitted up to the 12th week of pregnancy, regardless of the reason. According to Czech MP and doctor Kamal Farhan, the hospital will have to compensate the woman if wrongdoing is proven, even if "no one can replace the loss suffered by this mother with financial means"
