Morocco: researchers discover Homo sapiens footprints dating back more than 100,000 years. These traces left by a group of fisher-gatherers composed of at least five individuals, were found in 2022 in Larache, in the south of the country.

They are older, by several tens of thousands of years, than the pyramids of Giza. Other footprints will be discovered as the sediments erode, according to an official from the Lixus-Larache archaeological site.
