Opel has opened orders for the Astra Hybrid e-DCT6 - Buying Guide. The new engine, which now benefits from 48-volt hybrid technology, joins the range of petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid, electric and GSE sports versions.
The electric motor allows you to drive at low speed in fully electric mode for a distance of up to one kilometre, for example when maneuvering or at less than 30 km/h in traffic. During deceleration, the petrol engine stops and the electric motor recharges the hybrid system's 48V battery.
