A man suspected of supplying street vendors in Montmartre was arrested this Wednesday morning. Three other people involved in the operation were also taken into custody.
During a search which followed the arrests, the police got their hands on nearly 300 kg of miniature Eiffel Tower. Last year, more than 12 tonnes of goods in Paris, mainly at the Champ-de-Mars and the Trocadéro, were seized. The cheapest ones were 1 euro and the most expensive, those which are luminous, were 20 euros.
