Russia stops search to find 13 miners trapped underground. Hundreds of rescuers dispatched to the site were trying to clear the debris and dig tunnels for them.
The decision was taken to stop the rescue operation at the Pionnier mine on April 1. The galleries where the miners could be found are filled with rock mass and water, says the company managing the site. The governor of the Amur region, Vasily Orlov, thanked the rescuers who worked “at the risk of their lives”
