Pelephone announces launch of the first Stand Alone 5G network core of its kind. The new network, known as 5G MAX, will be put into operational use in the coming weeks.

The company launched dedicated packages on the new network and demonstrated for the first time in Israel network deployment capabilities and prioritization from anywhere with a speed of approximately 6 gigabit. Pelephone is not the only company making progress in the field of 5G in Israel. Cellcom is also expected to launch a 5G core later this year, and will use similar advanced technologies to those used by Pelephones and Cellcom, using Ericsson's 5G technology. The network is expected to help in times of emergency with the possibility of maintaining a strong and stable cellular network as well as providing quick solutions for drones and security services - which is already creating interest among security agencies. It will be more resistant to cyber hacks and attack attempts by hostile parties due to the use of advanced encryption protocols. It is expected that 1,000 sites will be deployed within a year from today.
