The residents of Paris have decided: large cars will pay 3 times more for parking than others. The participation of only 6% of the residents was enough to increase the price of the parking hour to 18 euros per hour.

The regulation, which received the nickname "Jeep tax", states that gasoline cars that weigh more than 1.6 tons and electric cars that weighing more than 2 tons will pay the high rate. Drivers' organizations in France criticized the decision, arguing that it infringes on the freedom of choice in vehicles.
