A ferry linking the island of Koh Tao, Thailand, hit by an impressive fire early this Thursday morning. A total of 97 passengers, mainly foreign and local tourists, and 11 crew members, were on board when the fire broke out in the engine room.
The boat's occupants donned life jackets, videos filmed on board show. Panicked, some preferred to jump into the water before help arrived. Several passengers were taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation. An investigation was opened to determine the causes of the incident.
