Copernicus was created in 1998 and has since been broadcasting data about the planet daily. The European program is responsible for observing and restoring data on the health of the Earth in real time.

All EU countries participate in the financing of Copernicus, which has a budget of 4.7 billion euros between 2014, the year of the launch of the first satellite, and 2021. For the period 2021-2027, the European Commission confirmed the political agreement on the largest budget ever allocated, to the tune of 14.88 billion euros.
