Rouen criminal court sentenced a police officer on Thursday for having struck a protester with a baton and kicked him. Prosecution evokes “inexcusable” violence.
This police officer had first filed a complaint himself for violence before the investigation. “No one among the police officers interviewed saw a kick from the victim,” the judge replied to the prosecution's request for a six-month suspended prison sentence and a ban on possessing a weapon as an additional sentence.
