The district court Augsburg has issued after arrow shots on passers-by against a 34-year-old arrest warrant for double attempted murder. The man had allegedly shot several arrows on two men standing in front of his house on Tuesday afternoon in a residential area in Nordendorf and seriously injured them.
According to the investigation so far, it was the men at random victims, said a police spokesman. During the interrogations, the suspect remained silent on the allegations.
The victims are the drivers of a lorry and a pickup truck. According to the police they had gotten out of their vehicles near the house of the alleged shooter and were therefore walking. Neighbors of the man should have the injured people on their property in safety and thus protected them from further hits.
Policemen arrested the suspect. The 47- and 39-year-old victims suffered severe upper body or facial injuries and were not operated on.
For the arrow shots, a gun-like device was used according to police. How many darts the 34-year-old fired altogether is still unknown. The motive is still unclear. The investigators do not rule out that the man could have mental health problems.
