The brother of US gymnast Simone Biles has been arrested. As the police in Cleveland, Ohio reported, Tevin Biles-Thomas is accused of murder, manslaughter in affect, assault and perjury. He was arrested, according to a prosecutor in the US state of Georgia.
The 24-year-old is accused of a firearm attack during the past New Year's Eve. According to US media reports, a group of young men in Cleveland appeared uninvited at a party just before midnight. In a subsequent dispute, shots were fired, three people were killed and two others injured.
The older brother of the world-famous gymnast is reportedly a soldier in the US Army. He is the only suspect who has ever been charged with the shooting.
Simone Biles initially made no direct comment on the arrest of her brother. On Twitter, however, the 22-year-old wrote that she processed her feelings: "Do not talk to me."
