A US teenager is suspected, according to reports from several US media, to have killed five of his family members with a gun, caliber 9 mm.
The crime is said to have occurred Monday night in a home in Elkmont, Limestone County, Alabama, according to "CNN" and "NBC," citing the local sheriff. The boy himself had called the police after the fact and confessed, it was said.
The dead are said to be the father, stepmother and sibling of the 14-year-old. Three of the victims died at the scene, two more later in the hospital.
How the teenager came to the gun is so far unclear. The act falls in the middle of the discussion about a stricter American weapon law.
