The British police have secured almost 1.3 tonnes of heroin, valued at € 132 million, on a container ship in the port of Felixstowe in the southeast of the country.
The drug had already been discovered on Saturday between towels and bathrobes, said the organized crime police department NCA with.
According to the Deputy Director of the Border Guard at the port of Felixstowe, the smugglers had sewn about one kilogram of heroin blocks into towels. It took her staff almost six hours to get the drugs, Jenny Sharp said.
