During a fire on a freighter on the Elbe a human was killed on Friday. Two other crew members had suffered severe burns, the Havariekommando announced. They were flown with two helicopters to a special clinic in Hamburg. Accordingly, the unloaded freighter was on the way from Dutch Rotterdam to Russian Kaliningrad, as at the height of Otterndorf (Lower Saxony) broke out in the engine room of the fire. Rescue workers extinguished the fire.
For the crew of the under the flag of Malta driving cargo ship "Kelly" belonged eleven Russians and two Ukrainians. The uninjured crew are cared for by the emergency psychosocial care, according to the emergency squad. The ship should be towed to Brunsbüttel.
